Indivisible is knocking on 200,000 doors with Neighbor2Neighbor, our innovative new way to contact voters to build a win in the House, Senate, and Presidential battlegrounds. It’s different than traditional canvassing--instead of getting dozens of doors in someone else's community, Neighbor2Neighbor provides you with 10 neighbors who need to be turned out to vote this year.  You’ll get a short list of addresses, a simple script, some best practices, and a printable handout--it's that easy! There’s no app to download, and you can have these conversations on your own time. Sign up to receive the next ten closest doors when you're done!

How it works

Step 1

Register and join thousands of volunteers signing up to talk to their neighbors about the stakes of this election — it’ll take all of us to win!

Step 2

We’ll send you a list of ten Democratic households, a short script, best practices, and an optional printout to leave behind.

Step 3

Knock on your neighbors' doors and remind them to vote! Hearing from a neighbor is TWICE as effective as traditional canvassing.

Let’s talk impact

Neighbor2Neighbor (N2N) is a revolutionary voter engagement tool designed to maximize the effectiveness of get-out-the-vote efforts. Unlike traditional canvassing, where volunteers contact strangers, N2N focuses on leveraging existing community relationships by having volunteers reach out to their own neighbors. This personalized approach makes conversations more meaningful and impactful, leading to higher voter turnout.

During the 2022 midterms, N2N was piloted in 15 competitive races, and the results were remarkable. The program nearly doubled the effectiveness of traditional get-out-the-vote (GOTV) canvassing. Volunteers found connecting with their neighbors easier and more rewarding, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

The simplicity of N2N is another key to its success. Volunteers receive a short list of nearby households and a straightforward script and best practices, making it easy to participate without extensive training or technology. This lowers the barrier to entry and allows more people to get involved, even those with busy schedules.

By combining in-person conversations with neighborhood relationships, N2N boosts voter turnout and strengthens community bonds. Volunteers discover like-minded individuals in their area, creating a network of engaged citizens committed to protecting democracy and advocating for shared values.

It’s a national election, but we all know that control of the House, Senate, and presidency will come down to a subset of races. We’re activating Neighbor2Neighbor in competitive areas where we need to make the stakes of this election clear: fighting MAGA extremism to protect our democracy and restore abortion rights.   • As a Neighbor2Neighbor volunteer, instead of being given a long list of strangers, you’ll get a short list of your own neighbors, along with a simple script, some best practices, and a printable handout.   • When it comes to getting out the vote, nothing beats an authentic, face-to-face conversation. And who better to have that conversation than a trusted neighbor? We’re going to power wins this November up and down the ballot, neighborhood by neighborhood.

    We’ll need to mobilize a door knocking army to hit our goal of contacting 200,000 voters. That’s where our Captains come in. Captains are at the forefront of this voter outreach effort, recruiting more activists and guiding them through the (very simple) signup process.
